I have the honor to forward, for your Lordship's information Copies of Correspondence which has passed between the Honorable Major Caine, Chief Magistrate of this Colony – and this Government, regarding the period at which his increased Civil Salary is to commence, in consequence of Her Majesty's 26th Regiment having gone to England; and hope, that Her Majesty's Government will approve of the decision that has been passed.
